It was an online program. The online program offered additional support such as a Panther Success coach to keep students on track. Each week we had papers, online class discussions and reviewed relevant cases that pertained to our track (e.g. organizational communication, leadership). I'm technically in the CMBA program, which is designed for those who have jobs, families, etc. and need a flexible class schedule ( I go online) and also that caters to their experiences. I found the program has some fundamental issues with the way it's ran. There is a wide variance in teachers and the abilities to instruct over an online medium, and some really fail miserably. Read More are often not laid out well or have constant technical issues with the class platform (to avoid a lawsuit i'm not going to name the platform, but it's something an artist would paint on). Aside from that, much of the material is out of date, though they state it's still valid, a focus on more recent events and the shifts in our society and world economy need to take precedence, not 20 year old case studies.

I graduated the FIU Paralegal Studies program in 2015. I would 'strongly recommend' that anyone entering this program: 1) Already be employed as a paralegal, or 2) Already have 'work experience' as a paralegal. Let me make one thing 'very clear' so that you don't waste your time & money on this program. FIU's Paralegal 'Job Board' only posts jobs for 'Experienced Paralegals.' You absolutely cannot substitute 'Edication for Experience' with any of the jobs posted on this site, at least not in South... Read More Florida. I brought this concern to each of my instructors AND the program director during the 2 years I spent in the program 'applying for numerous paralegal positions.' All of these people were dismissive of what I was telling them 'even when' I showed them the job board positions that ALL listed 'Experience Required.' So, for godssake! Do not enroll in this program 'unless' you are currently a paralegal OR you have at least 2 years experience as a paralegal. Also, do not believe the bull sh-t that you need to enroll in NALA, or become a 'certified paralegal' in order to get a job after graduation. These are 'money making rackets' designed to dupe unsuspecting paralegal graduates into paying for extra credentials that they don't need for jobs that may not even exist!
